Frequently Asked Quesitons

Q: Can I order a custom toy?

A: I'm afraid we are NOT OPEN for custom orders. Our shop is small and we prefer to focus our energy on making stock to keep available inventory numbers up. Customs take a lot of time away from creating stock. Also, we find them to be stressful to work on. We do drop new inventory every 2 weeks on Fridays at 4 PM Central! We keep a pretty tight schedule, but it can be thrown off by things like holidays or unexpected life events.

Q: What are your toys made of?

A: All of our toys are made of body safe 100% platinum cure silicone. We use silicone pigments as well as cosmetic mica to color our toys. Occasionally we will use glow pigments to create a glow-in-the-dark effect. We do not use glitter in any of our toys. If you see something sparkly in a toy it's cosmetic mica.

Q: How do I take care of my new toy?

A: Our silicone toys can be cleaned with soap and water or by boiling them. Please do not use silicone based lubes with our toys as it may damage them. Do not store them with other toys unless you are completely sure they are 100% body safe silicone as the other toys could damage ours.

Q: What are your silicone firmness options?

A: Most of our toys come in what we call soft or medium firmness silicone. On occasion we will make firm or super soft toys, but these are not used nearly as often.

  • -Super Soft: Our super soft silicone is 00-20 shore. Is is incredibly squishy, like dense marshmallow.
    -Soft: Our soft silicone is 00-30 shore. It has a firmness similar to soft body tissue.
  • -Medium: Our medium silicone is 00-50 shore. It has a firmness similar to unflexed muscle.
  • -Firm: Our firm silicone is 10A shore. It has a firmness similar to flexed muscle. This firmness is only available in select toys.

Q: I really can't order a custom toy from you? Do you have other options if the toy I want isn't in stock?

A: No seriously, we're NOT OPEN for custom orders. HOWEVER! We have an option called Friend Requests we occasionally make available for certain models. These offer pre-determined colors or a surprise color option. The color options will rotate every few months. We're working on expanding Friend Requests to more models, but for now the options are limited. These aren't true customs, but more of a made-to-order option for when our stock gets low between inventory drops. They are occasionally available in batches and will be restocked once a set of them has been finished and shipped. If you don't see open listings for them in the shop it means they are closed until the queue gets worked down. They are not opened on a set schedule, just whenever the workflow allows us to open them. For more info on them please see this blog post: Friend Requests! Everything you could want to know!

Q: How do you package my order?

A: All toys we sell will be cleaned before packaging. All toys come sealed in plastic bags. We wrap your order in colored tissue paper and pack it in a plain brown or white box. Other than your shipping label there are no markings on the outside of the box. Our shop name is listed as "SB Creative LLC" on our domestic shipping labels.

For international orders we will list any silicone toys as "art sculpture" on a customs form. We will NOT alter prices on customs forms or ship items as a gift to avoid paying customs fees, so please do not ask us to.

Q: Can I cancel my order?

A: Yes! We accept cancellations on orders within 2 hours of placing the order. For more information please see our cancellation policy on our Store Policies page.

 

Q: How long do I have to wait for my order?

A: We make an effort to ship orders within 3 - 7 business days from the day of purchase. We do NOT offer expedited shipping. The estimated arrival dates in our shop are auto-generated by Shopify based on the shipping option you choose and do not take into account what day we will actually ship your item. If you order an item with "2 day shipping" listed that estimate is for the amount of time it will take to travel to your address once the box is in the mail, NOT how long it will take us to get your box into the mail.

Q: There's a problem with my order!

A: For any problems you may encounter, please contact us as soon as possible! We will do whatever we can to make things right.
Due to the nature of our products we cannot accept returns or exchanges on opened toys. We do our best to disclose any flaws that exist on our items, but it's always possible that issues will escape our eye. You will be asked to provide photographs of any flaws you find that we did not disclose at the time of sale.
Customer satisfaction is very important to us, so please contact us with your order number ASAP with any issues!

Q: Where's my order? It's marked as shipped but I haven't gotten it yet!

A: Once we drop a package off at the post office it's completely out of our hands! Always start by checking tracking info with the number provided for your order. If there seems to be a problem with your package in transit you will need to contact the US POSTAL SERVICE to check on it. There's nothing we can do on our end once the box is in their hands. We have the exact same tracking information that you do.

Q: My package never arrived!

A: The best thing to do is to check your tracking number and use it to contact your local post office or the national line for the USPS. We have no control over where the box goes once it's out of our hands. If you contact us and provide an order number we can try to look up tracking info, but the website won't show us anything more than it will show you. We urge you to contact the USPS for help with lost packages.

Q: I have an idea for a new toy design. Can you make it for me?

A: We do not offer this service and cannot direct you to anyone who does. We have a lot of our own design ideas waiting to be made! It takes a lot of time, energy, and materials to take an idea from a design all the way to a finished silicone product and all of our resources are dedicated to our own work.

Q: Can you tell me how you make your toys?

A: Sorry, we don't offer tutorials or walk-throughs of our methods. We're not here to teach new folks how to make our products. There's a lot of info on the web that can help if this is a thing you're interested in doing. We suggest starting with the tutorials available on Smooth-On's website.

Q: I'm a sex toy reviewer/blogger and I'd like to work with you to feature/review a product.

A: We love to work with reviewers and bloggers when we have availability in our schedule! Please contact us at Meesh@StrangeBedfellas.com with your pitch and we'll see if we have space in our schedule. We're a very small business operating on very tight margins, so we don't always have the ability to collaborate, so please keep that in mind.  

Q: Do you provide sponsorships?

A: We do not. We're a small business and we haven't quite gotten to that level yet. That may change in the future, but we can't be sure if or when.
